Shadows of Summer

Welcome to Shadows of Summer, a narrative tabletop role-playing game where the past refuses to stay buried, and the truth is as elusive as it is haunting. Set within the decaying grandeur of an abandoned mansion, Shadows of Summer invites you and your friends to explore the dark secrets of a tragic summer long past. As you step into the shoes of characters bound by love, guilt, betrayal, and regret, you will navigate a story where every decision can alter the course of the night—and the fate of those who remain.
 
As the weekend unfolds within the mansion, the characters must confront their pasts, interact with the lingering spirit of Billy, and decide how much they are willing to uncover—or keep hidden. The choices they make will determine whether the group finds closure or becomes forever haunted by the shadows of that summer.
 
The game is designed for 4 to 6 players, with one player taking on the role of the Storyteller.
 
Using a standard deck of playing cards, the game introduces random elements that shape the story, determining key plot points and character motivations. These cards add an element of unpredictability, ensuring that no two games are ever the same.
